Mobians, while not technically an official term, is a name used by many to describe the humanoid animals who inhabit much of the world of Sonic. Without going into detail of different continuities, mobians are the anthropomorphic animals you play as in the games. Like Sonic, they generally wear gloves and boots. Female characters usually have additional clothing, but male character rarely anything beyond a cloak or other piece of clothing for specific conditions, like frost.
Most mobians reflect their real life counterparts fairly well, though others might have elements from folklore or simply creative choices, like Tails, the fox with two tails.
