The Utaru tribe is home to the Plainsong lands, a fertile, rich plains within the Forbidden West. Their lives are focused on two things: agriculture and song. Their agricultural history in particular shapes their view of the world, which revolves around the cycle of life and death. During their youth, a Utaru member will choose seeds they'll carry with them throughout their lives until their death, at which point these seeds will be buried and the Utaru will live on through this plant.
Utaru names are very short, often only two to three characters long, though longer, two syllable names are found here and there as well. Female names tend to be slightly more melodic, as much as that is possible in short names, though this is based on a relatively small amount of available names, so it could be a coincidence as well.
