Automaton names - Pathfinder
This name generator will give you 10 random names fit for the automatons part of the Pathfinder universe.
Automatons are beings of magically enhanced metal and stone possessing souls created thousands of years ago by the Jistka Imperium. The souls belonging to these automatons once belonged to Jistkan individuals.
While mortal, an automaton's core is very difficult to destroy. Since this houses their soul, they could be rebuilt even when the rest of their body is destroyed. Likewise, it means that if their body is destroyed in a manner that prevents retrieval of their core, they may spent forever trapped in one location while their mind slowly suffers the consequences of living far longer than most beings would. This mental decay is something most automatons deal with, regardless of whether they end up trapped in their own cores in some forgotten place or live regular lives throughout their existence.
Automaton names come in three types: Names they had before their transformation, names chosen by them should they have forgotten their original name or simply because they enjoy them more, and titles they might cherish more than any name. Some choose both a title and a name. Examples from the official books include: Alnhaman, Busmin, The Doleful, Enoh, Himar, Kantral, The Kindred, Numinar, Scholar, Tehkis, Wayfarer, Yulmian. This name generator focuses on these naming conventions as well, though the titles will always have "The" as a suffix.
