Samsaran names - Pathfinder
This name generator will give you 10 random names fit for the samsaran part of the Pathfinder universe.
Samsaran are humanoids of any ancestry with an additional samsaran ancestry through reincarnation. The original samsaran, according to legends, were born when a group of scholars on the brink of death drank from a spring of magical, life-filled water. This water gave each of these scholars an intense sense of devotion to curiosity and learning, which persisted after their death. Whenever they and future incarnations die, this magical life essence will reincarnate in a non-samsaran humanoid, usually one close to a region the previous samsaran held dear in life.
Unlike the original scholars, each reincarnation will be born with blue skin and pale eyes, but otherwise resemble a member of their ancestry and their parents. They might resemble a previous incarnation as well, but only in a way siblings or a parent and child might.
Samsaran names are twofold. Their first name or names resemble those of the ancestry they were born in. Meaning a dwarven born samsaran would likely have a dwarven name, for example. But later in life, a samsaran will pick a name they best represents their current goal in life, or reflects what they learned in a previous life. Since samsaran generally have a strong devotion to curiosity, learning, and experiencing the world in full, these chosen names usually fit these themes.
I've included first names in this generator purely for the sake of representing them in the same way they are in the source books. The names in this generator are the same as those in the Yaoguai name generator, but without their meanings added, and with chosen samsaran names. You'll find plenty of other ancestry name generators below to fit your samsaran's ancestry.
