Fjerdan names - Grishaverse
This name generator will give you 10 random names fit for the Fjerdan people part of the Grishaverse stories.
Fjerda is a nation in the frosty north, bordered by their enemy Ravka to the south. This hostility is fueled by their different views of Grisha. While Ravka trains theirs, Fjerda sees Grisha as dangerous, witch-like beings. To deal with Grishas, Fjerda trains drüskelle, a type of holy soldier who will capture Grishas so they may stand trial for the crime of being a Grisha. These trials, while claimed to be fair by Fjerdans, are purely theatrical.
Rumors say Fjerda's technological advancements were in part thanks to Fabrikators (a type of Grisha) who were under the influence of a drug called jurda parem and, presumably, some kind of protection against execution.
Fjerdan names, like Fjerda in general, is influenced by northern European cultures, primarily Germanic and Nordic ones. The same is true for their names, though some names have more southern European influences as well. Overall, German influences seem strongest in the names, followed by Scandinavian, and then southern European ones. I've included examples of all in this name generator.
