The drow, also called dark elves, are vicious creatures who live in the depths of cavernous cities carved from the rocks of dark underground caves. The drow rarely venture outside of these cities and instead let their mysterious nature and dark society remain the stuff of legends to many of the other races.
The drow are cunning masters of deception and use this to manipulate other beings in order to further their often dark agendas and their race as a whole. The drow aren't necessarily born evil, but instead are shaped by their dark society. Though any drow that is more inclined to the lighter side of life is often taken care of within the drow society.
Much like the drow themselves drow names are quite harsh. Sharp and darker tones are very common in their names and they can be difficult to pronounce. But there are also many simpler names, though they rarely lack the darker feel so common in the their names in general.
The difference between male and female names can be subtle, but the most obvious difference is that female names tend to always either end in a vowel or a softer consonant.
