Shisks are a species of dark skinned, near-human beings with bony quills covering much of their body. These quills were once feathers in an ancestral species, which is part why they're longer on their arms as they were once wings of sorts. Shisks greatly value information, especially information revolving around the pursuit of the arts. Their history is told through stories and songs, for example.
A great deal for a shisk is one in which they are able to give material goods for valuable information, a deal species looking for material wealth often find too good to be true.
Shisk names are full of hissing tones, but not every name will have them. In addition, their names are quite melodic, if tricky to pronounce at times for those with languages without hissing tones.
