Yaoguai names - Pathfinder
This name generator will give you 10 random names fit for the yaoguai part of the Pathfinder universe.
Yaoguai are animals, plants, or objects who have gained sapience through mysterious processes usually involving the absorption or infusion of ambient, magical energies. During this, they often gain shapeshifting abilities, which they use to shapeshift into a humanoid form to avoid others finding out they might in actuality have been a chair, a random dog, or the neighbor's plant. In many cases, elements of their old self show even after shapeshifting, perhaps in the form of branch-like antlers representing the tree they once were, cat ears and a tail, or stone-like skin.
Yaoguai names are usually Mandarin, Korean, or Japanese. The official examples are always words indicating what the yaoguai may have originally been. These are some official examples: Geomi (spider), Mindeulle (dandelion), Qing Yeliu (green snake), Qiu Haitang (pogonia), Sekiko (stone). You'll find plenty more of such names down below.
