Drag queens are performance artists who exaggerate feminine traits and roles for entertainment. This is often done through big costumes, exaggerated make-up, big wigs and even bigger personalities, which in turn is used for cabaret, singing, lip-syncing, and a whole lot more.
While the majority of drag performers are male, anybody who wishes to do drag can do so. The purpose is generally to make fun of gender roles and stereotypes, entertain others, self-expression and belonging, and a wide range of other, often personal reasons.
The drag world is huge and dates back at least 100 years depending on definitions, and has exploded into more mainstream circuits in relative recent years. RuPaul's Drag Race was among those at the forefront of this over the last decade.
As far as names go, most drag artists are either given a name by another drag artist (drag mother), or they pick one themselves. Many names have jokes and word plays within them, often with more adult oriented themes. The names in the generator below are all family friendly, although it's definitely possible I missed a double meaning here and there. The majority of names are world plays, like Ella Gants (Elegance), Raye Nessance (Renaissance), and Sue Preem (Supreme).
