Troglodytes, or Trogs, are a species of cave dwelling, humanoid reptilians who enjoy eating other, smaller reptiles. They live across Southern Africa, and tend to prefer the underground due to their sensitive eyes. But a pair of goggles is all they need to protect themselves against the light of the sun above ground.
Troglodytes are known for their stealth, their incredible speed, and their powerful burrowing abilities. Nico di Angelo even claims they're able to dig to and from anywhere, including Tartarus, the darkest depths of Hades' underworld.
Troglodytes speak with a mixture of English and a variety of clicking and screeching sounds, similar to sounds some reptiles, like geckos and tortoises, might make in real life.
Troglodyte come in two parts. The first is a sound they produce, describe in writing as the closest description of that sound. The second part is a regular name, which could be a real name or a word. Examples include Clack-Jones, Click-Wrong, Hiss-Majesty, Screech-Bling, and Shriek-Vibes. As you can tell by Hiss-Majesty, some names are word plays or other jokes.
