Inheritance Cycle is a tetralogy book series, some of you might be familiar with it through the movie 'Eragon'.
Human culture is much like it was in Europe during the medieval era, with the exception of magic wielders and dragon riders of course. But most people were farmers, merchants and similar types who rarely, if ever, ventured out of their town. They all had their similar beliefs and deities, but many with their own slight variations or with different customs and traditions.
In terms of names they seem to be influenced a lot by Nordic and Germanic roots, as well as some others. There's a wide variety of names though, so you can't pinpoint them down to a single few influences, much like human names in real life. The same goes for the names in this generator, I used all the known names from the books along with what they were influenced by to make sure a wide range of names can be generated here.
