Lizardfolk, who call themselves Iruxi, are an ancient species known by other species for their fighting and hunting prowess. Stories of their history told through oral traditions date back thousands and thousands of years. Their ancestors are incredibly important to them, so much so that the remains of their loved ones are kept close by incorporating them into buildings or guarding them in ossuaries. These bones become reservoirs for magical powers through special rituals, something supposedly done as a precaution for a need to have their ancestors fight in whatever future conflict may come.
Lizardfolk names are chosen by their astrologer using the stars at their birth as a guide. Overall, they're harsh sounding and at times difficult to pronounce for the more human-like tongues of other species. Examples given in the official books are: Arasheg, Barashk, Essaru, Enshuk, Gishkim, Hazi, Inishish, Kutak, Nasha, Shulkuru, Tizkar, Utakish, Zelkekek.
