Ethereal names - World of Warcraft
This name generator will give you 10 random names fit for the ethereals of the World of Warcraft universe, as well as the Warcraft universe in general.
Ethereals are astral travelers living between the different worlds in what is called the Twisting Nether, which is a type of astral plane and the place between the Light and the Void. Ethereals are best known as collectors and merchants of arcane artifacts, and they will seek out and steal any artifacts they can get their hands on. The more valuable the object the better.
Their physical forms were destroyed on their home world by Dimensius the All-Devouring, leaving them as beings of energy wrapped in magical wrappings similar in appearance to mummies, albeit with energy within rather than a decayed body.
The majority of ethereal names are inspired by old Egyptian and Arabic names, with some exceptions here and there even with pop-culture references ignored. For the longest time there were no female ethereals depicted in-game, though some of the standard male models did later have female voice actors. Eventually, female ethereals were also depicted through Hearthstone and Shadreen in World of Warcraft. Since there is a lack of names and because Shadreen isn't very different from Zhareem, Vashreen or Sha'heen in style, I consider all names to be unisex. You can obviously make different choices based on the results below.
