Donating

I've been lucky enough to have a whole bunch of incredibly generous people donate to me and my site as a means to show their support and it's both unbelievably humbling and just beyond anything I could've ever hoped for when I first started this website. Every time a message pops up in my inbox telling me I've received a donation I just feel over the moon. Having said that there are for more worthier causes to donate to than me and my site.

Better causes

If you're on this page, you're likely thinking about donating to me and my site, perhaps as a thank you or simply because you feel like it's the right thing to do. I urge you to donate to a better cause instead. There are dozens of worthy charities and people in unfortunate situations who could use your money far more than myself, so I'd prefer it if you helped them out instead.
It's not like I won't appreciate your donation if you do donate to me though. I absolutely will and it means more to me than I'm able to put into words. But I live a comfortable life and that's something not everybody can say, so why not help those people out instead?

If you still want to involve me you could always make a donation in my (site's) name or, if you absolutely feel the need to involve me personally, you could always donate me a donation gift card from organisations such as DonorsChoose.org, JustGive.org and Kiva.org. This way your donation will still end up with people who absolutely need it. But it's still better to just donate directly to them yourself, at least in my opinion.

If you're unsure which organisation to donate to check out thelifeyoucansave.org or givewell.org, they're companies that list charities that have proven to be effective and will give you a lot of information about each charity. These aren't the only effective charities of course, but if you don't know where to start this is a good place to do so.

I personally use Mossy Earth, Eden Reforestation Projects, Kiva.org, and Plant for the Planet.

Eden Reforestation Project

Since I'm partnered with the Eden Reforestation Project now, I'd love it if you joined me. You can find a lot more information on the dedicated pages, found here.

Supporting me

The easiest way to support me and my site is to simply white-list me in your adblocker if you use one. If you don't, that's great, you're already supporting me by simply using my site. If you want to go beyond that simply share my site with your friends.

Me and my site

This website is and always will be a project of my own. But, although it started out as a one-person project, thanks to the help of so many of you I no longer feel like I deserve to call it a one-person This site has become enormous and is still growing. I never could've reached this without the help of strangers, so thank you. All of you.
Every bit of support I receive, whether it's a donation, a name submission, a suggestion, a kind message or something completely entirely, brightens my day and it's both humbling and motivating. It's also a joy to read what some people show me they've written, created and made with names, help or inspiration from this website. Some have even asked me to help them with their stories and I'm more than happy to help.

So to all those who have supported me in any way: thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Donating

If you still wish to donate to me all the same, you can do so with the Paypal button below. I'll consider it as you buying me a cup of tea or coffee from one friend to another. ^.^

I don't have Paypal, can I donate a different way?

Nope. There's plenty of ways you could in theory, sure, and those previously mentioned charities probably have those methods available for you. ;)
