Malaysian name generator

This name generator will generate 10 random Malaysian names.

Malaysian culture has been heavily influenced by Islam, which is why the majority of people in Malaysia have a Muslim or Muslim-inspired name. Some do use traditional Malaysian names, but this is mainly used in rural areas.
Both sides do use the same patronymic system for surnames, which means the father's name is used. In addition, either 'bin' (son of) or 'binti' (daughter of) is used.

To make sure both are represented in this generator, the first 5 names will always generate Muslim names and the last 5 names will be Malaysian names.

Do note that there's a huge population of Chinese-Malaysians and Indian-Malaysians. The Chinese-Malaysians stick to traditional Chinese names, but they often have 3-word names instead of 2-word names like most traditional Chinese names.
The Indian-Malaysians use Indian names, but with the patronymic system. However, instead of 'bin' and 'binti' they use the Malayan terms 'anak lelaki' (son of) and 'anak perempuan' (daughter of). The vast majority of the Indian-Malaysians are Tamil, so if you're looking for a good Indian-Malaysian name, check out the Tamil name generator and use the before mentioned terms.

Many of the names in this generator are fairly old-fashioned, which is something you may wish to consider when picking a name.
